Beyond the Brand: Dragon Edge Group and Beach Hut Sunscreen Join Tidy Up the Tides in a Mission to Protect Our Shores

On July 31, Dragon Edge Group (DEG) and its pioneering brand, Beach Hut Sunscreen, proved once again that their commitment extends far beyond creating mediocrity-busting products. In partnership with Tidy Up the Tides, more than 70 passionate DEGsters came together for a meaningful beach clean-up activity at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, reinforcing the company’s advocacy for sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Armed with gloves, sacks, and the spirit of teamwork, the DEG community collected nearly 900 pieces of trash, filling 39 sacks with waste that weighed a total of 182 kilograms after segregation. From plastic bottles and wrappers to discarded fishing gear, every piece removed from the shoreline was a step toward protecting marine life and preserving the beauty of Philippine coasts.

For a company born under the sun—with Beach Hut Sunscreen leading the way in sun protection—protecting our beaches is not just an activity, but an advocacy that reflects the very core of Dragon Edge Group’s mission.

This initiative also highlights why Dragon Edge Group continues to be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work—ranked 2nd in the Philippines and 8th in Asia Pacific in 2024. The beach clean-up is more than just an environmental drive; it is a testament to DEG’s culture of excellence, teamwork, and purpose-driven action that inspires employees to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

By uniting employees and brands like Beach Hut Sunscreen in this advocacy, Dragon Edge Group strengthens its role not only as an innovator in the FMCG industry but also as a steward of the environment and community.

As the company looks ahead, one thing remains clear: at Dragon Edge Group, the mission goes beyond the brand—toward making lasting impact on people, communities, and the planet.
